a church for the West Valley – evangelism
- We will seek to understand the values and worldviews of the changing West Valley culture,
such that we can contextualize the gospel with relevance and compassion. Acts 17:22-33
- We will pour ourselves – and Christ’s love through us – into others by prioritizing personal relationships outside of the church, wherever we live, work and play. 1 Corinthians 9:22-23
Jesus Christ our hope – discipleship
- We will disciple God’s people (children and adults) with a redemptive-historical, covenantal, and reformed interpretation of Scripture, expecting glorious transformation as we increasingly interpret and live life from a creation-fall-redemption-glory worldview. Luke 24:44-45
- We will declare the supremacy of Jesus Christ and his gospel as the only hope for mankind to stand guiltless before God (justification) and progress in holiness (sanctification) for his glory. Titus 2:11-14
Jesus Christ celebrated – worship
- We will regularly gather for God-exalting worship that is nourishing to the believer and understandable to the unbeliever. Acts 20:7
- We will excellently and intentionally reiterate the gospel (God’s redemptive story) through the order of each worship service. 1 Peter 2:9-10
brokenness in us – community
- We will accept and address one another as we are in our weaknesses and sin, such that we
might hold one another accountable in truth and love, and be mutually dependent upon the power of Christ for transformation. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
- We will obediently broaden Christian fellowship, incarnating the gracious love of God to one another by sharing liberally with those among us in need. Acts 4:32-35
brokenness around us – mercy
- We will extend Christ’s mercy to the broken and work for the good of our community by partnering with existing organizations and ministries, or innovatively filling the gaps. Isaiah 58:12
- We will strategically move into the sin-broken world around us by participating in a movement to plant like-minded churches in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Matthew 28:19-20; Titus 1:5
